JJ Vincent

"Hound on a Mound" (large)

£125

There's a man in Cambridge giving animals a bad name!

Ceramic artist JJ Vincent is fascinated by the range of expressions and character in many of the animals that share our lives.

Some of his most popular work is an extensive range of ASBO dogs, a collection of rogues, mischief-makers and layabouts in the form of little clay sculptures.

JJ's creative output includes meerkats, big cats and dodos. But closer to home, his other animals like cows, pigs and sheep can only wonder at the antics of another species- his unruly hares!

He currently produces his work in either stoneware crank clay for moderate to large pieces. Small sculpture with spindly legs and very thin bits like ears, wings and fins are usually made with paperclay for its handling strength.
